Fun day with a New friend and a cuttlebug

Sharon and I had a fun day making cards, shopping and getting to know each other. We stamped our cards today at a scrabook & stamp store that lets us use her creative space any time it's available. I also got a cuttlebug for my birthday from my girls and loved playing with it today. Hope you like my samples.

Sorry, I've been MIA

I've taken on daycare again and been so busy with a couple of infants and a 7 year old girl that I haven't taken the time to update my blog, I know....shame on me!! We also were out of power for a little while and it's hard to stamp without lights and I tried by candle light but it was too hard to see everything. Of course the computer was down for that time too.

I've also been in a lot of swaps these last couple of months, got them all mailed off and I'm finally getting those cards back. I love to join swaps, most of the cards the artists make are so pretty. There were a couple that were really nice, just not my style.

So here's a few I've been making and playing with my stamps a little at a time again.
Hope you like these.

Beautiful Life - friendship card

I made this one up for a swap and then changed my mind...too much pink I thought, and made a different one for the swap. I like the diamond shaped silver brads on the white grosgrain ribbon.

Stars baby card

Here's another fun card. I found these button brads in a scrapbook store and couldn't resist them.

Over the Moon - baby boy card

I've been playing with my Nursery Necessities set again and just love how the cards are turning out. I wish the scanner would show them off better. I love the dimensional stars.

Mini Easter Basket

I made 7 of these cute little Easter baskets for everyone in the family to take home. It's perfect for just a few chocolates to fit in it. I started with a 5-1/2" square of cardstock and scored it at 1-3/4" on all 4 sides. Then I cut into 2 opposite sides on the folded lines, just up to the folded line. Then took the corner rounder punch and rounded each corner over and then folded up the basket. The handle is cut 1-1/4" x 7". Decorate as you like.
I use to make these baskets a lot bigger along time ago, they were called 4-corners baskets. It took 1 sheet of 12x12" cardstock to make that one.

Swap Challenge

I have another swap I joined and made this one for it. I had to use black, gray or basic gray as one of the colors and then pick another color to use....white or vanilla are neutrals and were not considered a color. I liked how it turn out.
I used Orchid Opulence and Basic Gray and Nursery Necessities stamp set.
