Here's a couple crocheted potholders that my mom taught me to make and I still make them today to give as gifts and use myself.

Crocheted Potholders
My mom and aunts were avid crocheters and they taught me when I was 8 years old. My grandmother was an avid knitter and she taught me when I was 10. I stuck with the crocheting, but didn't knit again until I was in my late 40's. I haven't stopped knitting since and still crochet a lot too.

I have made those and absolutely love them! I was lucky enough to find 5 of them in perfect condition at Goodwill - for only 50 cents each!
